Vehicle Inspection

The management of vehicle inspection centres have been privitised through a tender dated 19 December 2004, TÜVTURK, which has been established as a joint venture of Doğuş Otomotiv-Akfen-TÜV SÜD has achieved its concession rıghts for 20 years for the construction, maintenance and operation of Vehicle Inspection Stations by submitting the highest bid of $613.5m.

TÜVTURK, provides vehicle inspection services via sub-operators, at least 189 stationary, 433 inspection channels, 38 mobile inspection centres to be built across the country and managed over a period of 20 years.

SERA GROUP, with respect to the investment it has made in 2008, has successfully started managing Trabzon Vehicle Inspection centre as a sub-operator.

'SERA GROUP Vehicle Inspection' provides service on a daily basis an average of 300 cars and 50.000 cars annually. In addition to the investment, 37% of the revenues are tranferred to Ministry of Finance.

Hence, in the forthcoming 20 years we believe that vehicle inspection sevices will make a major contribution to increase the traffic and vehicle safety in Turkey in line with European standards.
